As a consequence, they tied the breakaway cable too tight and when they drove away it tightened even more which pulled the brakes on and caused catastrophic damage and a realistic danger to life.

As you can see from these photos, because the brakes were 'on' for a few miles the material of the brake shoes wore away down to bear metal which caused extreme overheating.

Because the brake shoes metal linings were rubbing against the metal drums the heat was so immense that it cracked the drums, which as you can see in two of the top photos, part of each drum broke off.

Thankfully they contacted me before driving any further. I ordered and fitted brand new parts including a new drum on each side. This family are now safe to tow their much loved caravan.

If no water is inside your water heater, make sure it's turned OFF otherwise this could happen. Here you can see how burnt the water heater outer casing is, obviously it needed replacing. It's safer to always switch off anything relating to heat when not being used.

After I checked why this fridge didn't work on mains electricity I traced the problem to a faulty element, which had to be replaced. When it initially failed it also blew a fuse in the rear circuit board of the fridge, so the fuse also had to be replaced

Whenever a new LPG regulator is replaced, gas tests MUST be done to ensure it's installed correctly and safely. This customer wanted to use two LPG cylinders so that if gas runs out of one, a very quick turn of the top dial allows gas to come from the other. I can easily convert a one cylinder system into a two.

The contol panel, which amongst other things, is used to control hot water and heating, was discovered to be faulty after it was tested.
The fault was a data cable, which was replaced.
